The International Sail and Power Academy (ISPA) syllabus has since 1994 provided a range of International Certificate of Competency certificates from Competent Crew up to and including Yachtmaster Offshore, and Instructor courses from Day Skipper Instructors up to and including Instructor Evaluator Ocean. This comprehensive program presented in a building block system is flexible, practical and emphasizes a hands-on approach, allowing you to learn at your own pace. The International logbook is provided to record personal standards achieved within the “International Certificate of Competency” program, for pleasure craft up to 24 meters, allowing Schools, Charter Boat and delivery companies to ascertain your level of ability. To achieve ISPA certification, Schools, Instructors and Instructor Evaluators, are required to exhibit a combination of excellence, achievement and experience, and be registered with ISPA annually.
