International Logbook
International Sailing and Power Academy Inc (ISPA)  Logbook and Registration.

The International Logbook provides the program standards and a record of personal certification for a  "Certificate of Competency". This allows sailing, power boating schools, charter boat and delivery companies, marine and government officials, to ascertain your level of ability. The program is designed for pleasure craft, sail and powerboats, up to 24 meters (approximately 72 feet).



Registration Procedure for Certificate of Competency "Shore-Based Certificates".

If you wish to complete shore-based certificates only, on successful completion of the applicable home study course Sailing, Power Boating, nlinks2">Navigation and appropriate Exam, you will need to Purchase a logbook and then register for the Certificate of Competency shore based certificate.

 To do so:
1. Complete your logbook as outlined in you logbook
2. Complete your registration form as found in your workbook, including your workbook registration numbers and your log book number
3.  Email scanned images of registration page,  Logbook pages of certificate pages requiring certification. Must have  Instructors signature and number with date. 
4. Purchase course registration in our online store (2 required for full certificate)  Course Registration

We are no  longer requiring Logbooks to be sent in to the ISPA Office.  This is due to privacy and risk of loss.

 

 



Registration Procedure for Certificate of Competency "On the water" Certificates.

If you wish to proceed to the "on the water" practical course certificate (see Sailing and Navigation course matrix or Power boat and Navigation course matrix) you may at any time continue and add the "on the water practical certificate" with a sailing school, power boating school, or Instructor.

On successful completion , you need to register for the Certificate of Competency

To do so:

1. Complete your logbook as outlined in you logbook
2. Complete your registration form as found in your workbook, including your workbook registratin numbers and your log book number
3.  Email scanned images of registration page,  Logbook pages of certificate pages requiring certification. Must have  Instructors signature and number with date.
4. Purchase course registration in our online store (2 required for full certificate)  Course Registration

 

On completion of registration, your seals will be sent to you to apply into your logbook.

NOW AVAILABLE:  wallet card.  This card states your picture, name, sailing or boating certificate levels and dates.  Back of the card states the levels and restrictions of your highest ability.   Desired by Charter companies worldwide.  Order now on the ISPA store.
