Competent Crew Basic Power Boating Book or Shore Based Correspondence Course.

Ashore Based Certificate.

On completion of the book, and passing the ISPA online exam you can achieve the ashore portion of the International Certificate of Competency for Competent Crew.

You will have the knowledge requirements to:

Become competent to live aboard a coastal cruising power driven vessel and act as Competent Crew. Be competent to substitute as skipper in an emergency.

Skipper power driven vessels under 4 meters in non-tidal waters where no navigational hazards exist, within 5 miles of safe harbor, during daylight hours only, in light to moderate wind conditions.

To receive the full International Certificate of Competency Competent Crew Power,  the on the water practical skills course is required, or with the required amount of experience Challenge a standard

 

Day Skipper Intermediate Power Boating Book or Shore Based Correspondence Course.

Recognized as a leader in its field, the second power boating book includes; intermediate power boating cruising knowledge, anchoring and docking, trailering, international buoyage system, collision regulations, passage preparation and planning, marine weather, tides and currents, and basic navigation knowledge. Also provides the home study, correspondence shore based course knowledge requirements for Day Skipper Power Ashore based Certificate essential for bareboat chartering.

 

Ashore Based Certificate.

On completion of the book, and passing the ISPA online exam you can achieve the ashore portion of the International Certificate of Competency for Day Skipper Power.

You will have the knowledge requirements to:

Act as the skipper and be responsible for the safety of his/her vessel and crew, while operating a power driven vessel, in familiar waters within 10 miles of safe harbor, during daylight, in moderate wind and sea conditions using basic navigational skills.

Coastal Skipper Advanced Power Boating Book or Shore Based Correspondence Course.

Skipper at an advanced level with the fourth Power Boating book. The Coastal Skipper Advanced Power Boating, provides electronic navigation, advanced anchoring, heavy weather, stability, engine/boat system troubleshooting and much more for the Advanced Coastal Skipper who wants to bareboat charter in coastal/tidal waters internationally. Also provides the home study, correspondence shore based course knowledge requirements for Coastal Skipper Advanced Power Shore Based Certificate

 

Ashore Based Certificate.

On completion of the book, and passing the ISPA online exam you can achieve the ashore portion of the International Certificate of Competency for Coastal Skipper Power.

You will have the knowledge requirements to:

Act as the skipper, and be responsible for the safety of his/her vessel and crew, for coastal passages within 50 miles of safe harbor, in coastal/tidal  waters, where navigational hazards exist, day or night with good visibility.
